THE INTIKI STORY
"Intiki, the word - means Home, and to Us, home is a collection of myriad little details that make up your everyday lives."
"Intiki, the word - means Home, and to Us, home is a collection of myriad little details that make up your everyday lives."

Intiki - meaning home, in the Telugu dialect.

Intiki is a home decor label that brings design elements with a modern and clean aesthetic to the spaces that people inhabit.

Drawing inspiration from the textures and tonality of India, the products appear luxurious yet hold reminiscence of the inspiration they hail from. Our homage to the homeland is personified through a mix of different materials, finishes and styles native to India - an attempt to stay mindful of appealing to different people with varying aesthetics.

Our home decor products are hand made in India where we intend to give equal importance to our buyers and ‘makers’ - the artisans behind the products.

WE GIVE BACK

Our collections tell a story in more ways than one. Though the primary purpose is to serve as a design element to your home, the unifying theme running through all our products is that of social impact. The plight of Indian artisans is one that is known and yet unknown to the Indian & international consumer.

Our aim is to concentrate our efforts on improving the working conditions of these talented workers. In a world where money exchanges hands millions of times a day, we want to make sure that the exchange takes place between the right sets of hands. A percentage of every product that is purchased from Intiki contributes directly towards bettering the working conditions of the actual hands behind our products.

We aim to maintain a steady level of transparency so that the consumer knows what they are contributing towards.

WHATS NEXT

In the future, we envision Intiki to be a design house.

Our effort is to create a space where people can experience all avenues of design - home decor, furniture, fabrics, photography - a space to just come together and celebrate the arts!

We aim to branch out into many of these avenues and be able to nurture and create products of quality & design that hold par with international standards while celebrating talent we have in India.

Every effort that we put into Intiki is with one end goal: to create a platform to showcase and celebrate the sheer mass of skill and opportunity in our country and our people.

About our founder & design head: Anchal Khosla

The arts have always been a part of Anchal’s life.

Dabbling in various art forms like painting, sketching & dancing while growing up organically led to a 5 year stint working in production design in Bombay. It was this exposure to the world of design that cemented her decision to study design at the Parsons school of Design in NYC. It was during a material class, at Parsons that screened a documentary on the plight of the Sanganeri block printers that a simple thought struck and then stuck. She decided to move back to India and create something that celebrated and also empowered our skilled workers & workmanship and our rich material resources. This thought took shape and evolved into the launch of Intiki.
